Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Phelophepa Health Care train will be in Klerksdorp until August 8. The train arrived a week late in Klerksdorp due to technical issues. It was however fully operational at the time of going to press on Wednesday July 30. Services are provided free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
Services include:
- Healthcare Services - Comprehensive primary healthcare support
- Eye Clinic - Vision screenings and prescription glasses
- Dental Clinic - Oral health assessments and treatments
- Psychology Services - Mental health support and counseling
- Pharmacy Services - Medication and healthcare advice
 
The Transnet-Phelophepa trains are free, mobile healthcare clinics that travel to areas of rural South Africa. Phelophepa means “good, clean health”.
