Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Department of Community Services in the City of Matlosana cleaned the area at the local railway station where the Phelophepha Primary Health Care Train will park this week. The workers were seen cutting down trees and removing objects to ensure clear visibility and a safe environment for visitors. Phelophepha means “good, clean health”.
The train’s visit to Klerksdorp Station has been extended to three weeks and will be in the area until August 8.
The Phelophepa Train provides a wide range of healthcare services, including:
- Primary healthcare: General health check-ups and wellness screenings.
- Specialized services: Eye care, dental care, and psychological support.
- Screenings for chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as cancer screenings (pap smears and prostate checks).
- Pharmacy services: Onboard pharmacies dispense medications to patients.
