Lentswe, Tigane - The executive mayor, James Tsolela, held a successful engagement meeting with the community of Tigane to address the current water challenges faced by the area. Members of the Mayoral Committee and municipal officials accompanied the mayor on December 6.
During the meeting, the community residing in Extension 5,  6, 7 and 8 of Tigane received a clear explanation about the background that led to the water challenges and how they could be overcome and minimize those challenges.

“It’s important to note that Section 27 of the Bill of Rights states that everyone has the right to access sufficient food and water.

Therefore, the state must take reasonable legislative and other measures, within its available resources, to achieve the progressive realization of these rights,” he said.
