Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The Department of Community Services in the City of Matlosana cleaned the area at the local railway station where the Phelophepa Primary Health Care Train will park this week. The workers were seen cutting down trees and removing objects to ensure clear visibility and a safe environment for visitors. Phelophepa means “good, clean health”.
The train’s visit to Klerksdorp Station has been extended to three weeks.
The new dates for the visit are as follows: July 21-25, July 28 - August 1 and August 4-8.
The Phelophepa Train provides a wide range of healthcare services, including:
- Primary healthcare: General health check-ups and wellness screenings.
- Specialized services: Eye care, dental care, and psychological support.
- Screenings for chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as cancer screenings (pap smears and prostate checks).
- Pharmacy services: Onboard pharmacies dispense medications to patients.
