The library in Rekgaratlhile village at Stella, has been non-operational for days and for the whole of last week.
The doors were locked with a notice ‘Closed until further notice’. According to the knowledge of us, the residents in Rekgaratlhile, the only employee at the library is from Limpopo and was absent due to family responsibility matters. Apparently she had no option but to close the library. Our kids are not able to use the library, especially during examination time, if the only staff member there is absent. Our kids are suffering if there is no library for them. Why is there only one staff member at the library and why can’t she be assisted by another employee identified by the Head of the Department during urgent family matters like this?
