Klerksdorp Record, Stilfontein - A Stilfontein man is wanted by the police on charges of bestiality.
The man apparently filmed himself raping his dogs. Footage from the videos is in the possession of Matlosana Animal Shelter.
The shelter’s Suzette Kotze said she immediately went to the police to lay charges when she saw the videos. Apparently the suspect, a middle aged man, sent the videos by mistake to an acquaintance who then informed the shelter.
“This is horrible. I could not ignore it. This is one of the worst cases ever in my career. I went with a police officer to his home on Friday afternoon,’’ she said.
When they arrived at the premises with the police, the man fled the property. The dogs were confiscated and are in the care of the animal shelter. All of the dogs were taken to the vet for examination.
According to Kotze the animals are happy in their new environment and cared for. She appealed to the community for donations towards vet bills and dog food.
The docket was handed to the SAPS FCS unit for investigation. The suspect is till at large.
