NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Boere moet elke dag vele uitdagings die hoof bied, insluitend die onvoorspelbare natuur. Hulle lewer onskatbare bydrae tot landbou en die ekonomie van ons land.
Ons wil graag elke boer bedank vir hul bywoning en interaksie met die onlangse Bayer DEKALB Boeredag wat gehou was te Rietgat, Lichtenburg op Donderdag, 7 Maart 2024. Boeredae bied ‘n gunstige geleentheid vir Bayer, as industrieleier, om direk met boere te skakel om inligting, idees en tegnologie uit te ruil.
Mass prayer event for Lichtenburg
NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - The Lichtenburg SAPS, Youth Desk, CPF and the Spiritual Crime Prevention together with various religious faith groups recently convened for a mass prayer for Lichtenburg as a whole in unity.
This auspicious event was graced by Brigadier Monate from Provincial Pro-Active Policing and her members, and the Ngaka Modiri Molema District representative Colonel Dube. We were also supported by our partnership stakeholders the NPA, Thusanang Trauma Centre, New Beginnings Support Group, Retlakgona Supportive Group and the Department of Health.
GROGL for moral and legal values to casual job seekers
NOORDWESTER- LICHTENBURG - Recently the Movement of men which is called God; Restore Our Good Life (GROGL) with motto the “Men Of Action Walking Together” gathered the Lichtenberg casual job seekers who are usually found in the corners and cross roads of Lichtenburg.
This Movement under the Chairpersonship of Dr Daniel Buthelezi met these local casual job seekers around Lichtenburg with the purpose of finding one another in terms of addressing the triple challenges of life within our society relating to poverty, unemployment and inequality.
Nagenoeg 300 slaggate in Breëstraat iets van die verlede ná Lichtenburg-tak ingryp
NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Breëstraat in Lichtenburg het in Februarie broodnodige opknappingswerk ondergaan nadat die AfriForum-tak op dié dorp dit op hom geneem het om dit vir inwoners meer begaanbaar te maak.
Die tak het verlede maand altesaam 284 slaggate in Breëstraat opgevul. Dit het 30 ton teer en ’n drom ss60 bitumen geverg om eindelik al dié slaggate gevul te kry. Die tak het ook twee stoptekens in Breëstraat opgerig, wat deur die Ditsobotla Plaaslike Munisipaliteit verskaf is.
Die munisipaliteit het op sy beurt verf gebruik, wat deur die tak geskenk is, om die padmerkers by die stopstrate te verf. Die landbouonderneming NWK, Scott’s Manor-gastehuis en AfriForum se Lichtenburg Teerprojek het elk tien ton teer geskenk om hierdie broodnodige padprojek te ondersteun.
Drie maande vermis
NOORDWESTER – SANNIESHOF – Die polisie in Sannieshof vra die gemeenskap se hulp in die opsporing van Jan Mafethe, wat sedert Desember 2023 vermis word.
Volgens inligting is Mafethe laas gesien deur sy vriend. ‘n Groot soektog het plaasgevind in die omgewing asook die Phelandaba gebied.
Hy het ‘n donker gelaatskleur, bruin oë en swart hare.
