RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - The Acting Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 Commissioner, Brigadier Mamotsamai Ntoagae, and her team welcomed the sentencing of Thulane Sishange (31) and Kamogelo Molefi (23) by the Bafokeng Regional court in Tlhabane on Friday, 2 August for armed robbery that took place in July 2023 on Lebone street in Tlhabane. The court was told that on the fateful night, the two friends were pushing their vehicle to a workshop when Sishange and Molefi, who were unknown to the victims at the time, came out of nowhere and pretended to want to help them.

Three more suspects appeared, and the victims were overpowered and robbed of their valuables at gunpoint.    At that point, a police vehicle that was on patrol stopped in order to assist the motorists. However, Sishange and his accomplishes quickly fled.
The victims told the police officials about the robbery, and they were advised to immediately open a case.   Sishange was sentenced to ten years direct imprisonment for robbery with aggravating circumstances, while Molefi was handed seven years direct imprisonment on the same charge.  The duo are believed to be part of a group of five, involved in a spade of armed robberies around Lebone street, railway line crossing towards Zinniaville and Rustenburg North.
Brigadier Ntoagae commended Warrant Officer Khomotjo Matlala for his sterling investigative work and further thanked all other stakeholders involved.
