RUSTENBURG HERALD - MOGWASE - Mogwase SAPS conducted school visits on Monday, 19 January, as part of the Safer Schools Programme.
Lesetlheng and Sebele Primary Schools were visited to address issues of gender-based violence, bullying and abuse, while Tshomankane Secondary School was monitored with no incidents recorded.
The programme, according to W/O Ofentse Mokgadi, Rustenburg police spokesperson, will run from 19 January to 18 March 2026, focusing on prevention, monitoring and early intervention, with monitoring continuing throughout the year.
Stakeholders involved include the Department of Social Development (DSD), Community Policing Forum (CPF) and Botshabelo Crisis Centre. The SAPS in the Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 remains committed to ensuring safe learning environments.
