Klerksdorp Record, Potchefstroom - Klerksdorp has the best CPF in NW and Jouberton SAPS boasts with the Woman of the Year. The police in NW acknowledged officers and employees at the Service Excellence Awards event held last week.  

 

 

Sgt Eunice Morakabi is the Woman of the Year. She impresses in her day-to-day duties, initiates and implements projects and conducts evaluations on Community Policing. She went beyond the call of duty by conducting 33 social crime prevention awareness activities in Jouberton in conjunction with other stakeholders making her the winner of the award. 

Sgt SK Setlolamathe from Klerksdorp police was announced winner of the Community Police Forum (CPF) of the Year. He organised and coordinated events, public presentations and exhibitions, established a directory of essential services for all role players and conducted awareness activities. He ensured that the CPF, sub-forums, Youth Crime Desk and Community in Blue Patrollers are functional and active. 

Capt Sam Tselanyane, a name readers must be familiar with to as he is often a spokesperson quoted in the newspaper, received the award for Man of the Year. He manages the Communication Nodal Point, excellently performing media standby duties and for the review period released 75 media statements, conducted 48 radio interviews and communicates in several languages.

Other awards:
* Brig Andre Wagner received the award for Senior Administration Manager of the Year.  He is the Section Head at Legal Services and responsible for legal support to operational functions in the NW. 
* The Senior Operational Manager for Policing, was scooped by Brig Ntoagae, the current acting District Commissioner at Bojanala sub-district 2 (Rustenburg).
* Boitekong Station was awarded the Station of the year. 
* Reservist Constable SR Makabe from Mahikeng was awarded as Reservist of the year. 
* Sgt KG Mosiatlhaga was the Sport Man of the Year. 
* The person with disability of the year was awarded to Sgt Mammie Tselanyane from Potchefstroom Community Service Centre (CSC). She is married to Sam.
