Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The city’s cultural museum kicks off its discourse series for 2024 with an inspiring talk about Apartheid.

The talk will take place at 09:00 on Saturday February 10 at the museum.

Museum historian Bert Gaffen will lead the talk and he will allow interaction in the form of a Q and A session. “With the war in the Middle East currently being such a hot topic, many people are comparing the systems that gave rise to this bloody conflict, to the Apartheid system that is all too familiar for South Africans,” he said.

He added to say “also, with South African national elections on the cards later this year (30 years after the end of Apartheid), the Klerksdorp Museum sees fit that our first Saturday Discourse for 2024 will be about the origins of Apartheid in South Africa”.

The talk will last about an hour. More info from 018 487 8900.
