Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The National Department of Health has urged the public to take extra precautionary measures to protect themselves and their loved ones against respiratory infections, which are expected to increase over the winter season.
According to the department, the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is currently at peak circulation in the country, while influenza also known as flu is starting to surge.

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Feed A Child Charity Shop in Flamwood is celebrating its eleventh year in Klerksdorp.
Two of the old-timers at the store since its opening in Klerksdorp, Ansie Weyers, the store manager, and assistant, Alma Cremer, recently retired after years of serving clients with passion and dedication.
Alza Rautenbach, founder and CEO, said both Weyers and Cremer were well-known in the Feed-A-Child community.
Klerksdorp Record, Potchefstroom - Entries for the Sasol New Signatures Art Competition 2024 have officially opened, and the Main Museum in Potchefstroom is this year added as a new collection point for art entered in the North West Province.
“This will give emerging artists from the greater North West Province an avenue to showcase their talent and underscores the competition’s commitment to developing and celebrating the visual arts in all parts of the country,” says Pfunzo Sidogi, Chairperson of Sasol New Signatures.
