Stefaans Coetzee wat onlangs bekroon is met Netwerk 24 se Smaakmakerprys vir boeke se eerste boek wat hy alleen geskryf het, Onbeskryflike Genade, is op die kortlys vir die Andrew Murray-prys vir Christelike publikasies in Afrikaans.

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - More than 16 ton of gold bearing material was seized in a police operation at the Klerksdorp landfill site last week.

The value of this cache is estimated to be approximately R240 000. On Wednesday March 27, a team comprising of various SAPS units including “Vala Umgodi” deployment group, SANDF soldiers, the Hawks, officials from the Department of Home Affairs, Matlosana Local Traffic and Harmony Gold Mine Security, cordoned off the landfill site.

A woman was injured when two cars crashed into each other at the corner of Sheridan and Carlyle Avenue in Orkney on Monday night April 1. The collision happened just before 22:00. A case of negligent driving is being investigated. According to bystanders at the scene, it seems that the dark Dodge turned in front of a white vehicle traveling in the direction of Klerksdorp, causing the collision. One passenger inside the Dodge was injured and taken to hospital.

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - An ANC stalwart passed away this weekend.

The Party Caucus announced the passing Cllr Thembeka Kedibone Chabalala, MMC of Community Service in the Matlosana municipality. 

She passed away on Sunday March 31, following a short illness.

MMC Chabalala served the ANC at different levels, including being the regional secretary of ANCWL in Dr Kenneth Kaunda District.  
 
At the time of publication, her funeral details were not known.
