Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) held its 2024 Free State Online Championships last weekend.

The provincial championship enabled participants to qualify for MSSA’s National team trials (NTT) which will be used to select South Africa’s National Protea teams for titles played that are not included in International Esports Federation (IESF) and Global Esports Federation (GEF) events.

There were only two provinces represented, and 20 players qualified for Senior Provincial Colours.

Marcu van Wyk of KHS won the Clash Royale - High School category. Katlego Kabayi of NWU took home the Clash Royale Premier title. Rearabetswe Moloi of the NWU took the Fifa 24 Premier title and received NW colours. Koketso Molete of the NWU won the Rocket League - U24 - 1 v 1. 

The other titles went to Dawnview High (eFootball and Mobile Legends - Premier), Crawford College Lonehill (DotA) and TukseSports for Tekken 8 and Valorant - Premier.

PRONHS took the title for Rocket League and the Sportsmanship Award.
