Former KHS cricketer, Lubbe who grew up in Klerksdorp, is captaining North West in the ongoing T20 Challenge. He will captain them in the One-Day Cup and 4-Day Domestic Series, too.

“We are proud to announce the captain of the Dragons, Wihan Lubbe - a true embodiment of fiery determination, leadership and skill on the field,” read a statement from the Dragons.

“With a passion for the game that ignites the spirit of his team-mates, he combines tactical acumen with a fierce competitive edge. Known for his calm demeanour under pressure, he has a remarkable ability to inspire and unite his team, pushing them to reach new heights. His experience, both as a player and a strategist, has been instrumental in the Dragons’ recent successes.”
