Lentswe, Jouberton - The ANC ward secretary who is in trouble after allegations of assault was brought against her, has accused Lentswe of spreading lies and gossip.
Nomsa Melengwana denied ever speaking to Daily Sun and Lentswe about the allegations by Samuel Tsambe that she grabbed and squeezed him between the legs in an altercation in Jouberton last year November.
Tsambe (58) told Lentswe that he underwent surgery and lost one of his testicles after a scuffle with Melengwana. He said she squeezed and twisted his private parts for almost ten minutes in a dispute over an office key. “Afterwards I was so weak, I just fell to the ground.’’
He said the incident happened in November at a RDP construction site where he worked as a caretaker. “She wanted the key and I didn’t want to give it to her, and that’s when she grabbed me between the legs. I could not do anything to her. She is a woman. So I just went down.’’
He is still in pain after he had to undergo surgery due to the assault. “I am angry and humiliated and just carries on as if nothing happened. She needs to apologise. My whole life is affected by this. I cannot find work and need to visit the hospital regularly.’’
Lentswe did speak to SAPS’s Capt Aafje Botma again who confirmed that Melengwana was arrested on a charge of assault GBH and has appeared in court during December. The case was postponed to February and she was released on a warning.
