Sassa payment dates
Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) will pay its twelfth social grants this year to beneficiaries in the first week of December. With the official dates for payments now out, Sassa has requested beneficiaries not to rush to collect on the first day, as funds will remain available in their accounts until needed. The dates for grant payments are as follows: Old Age Grant: December 2; Disability Grant: December 3 and Child grants on December 4.
Man missing since 2022
Klerksdorp Midweek, Kanana - The police request the community’s assistance in locating the 54-year-old John Malebo Mvelase who has been missing since 2022. He was last seen by his daughter when he travelled to his home in Ext 15 at about 16:00 on July 25 2022.
“According to information received, Mvelase lives alone and is not mentally stable. When his daughter visited him the next day, he was not found,” said Const Thuto Bobelo, police spokesperson. A search was conducted around Kanana without any positive feedback. Extensive investigations were done and all leads were followed up with no success. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black trousers with red stripes, brown sneakers and a grey jacket. He is black in complexion, tall and slender and has short grey and black hair.
