This campaign aims to collectively achieve at least 5 000 units of blood to help alleviate the added pressure on the blood supply over the busy festive period. “Red Saturday forms part of the SANBS summer campaign, which “aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donations, encourage first-time donors to make donating a lifelong practice, and educate the public on the reciprocal benefits of giving blood,” said Thandi Mosupye, Senior Manager of Marketing, Communication, and Brand at SANBS.
