NOORDWESTER – SANNIESHOF - Operation Shanela swooped into town on Friday, 2 August when Constable Paul Nakedi of Sannieshof Crime prevention induction, along with members of Lichtenburg’s K-9 Unit and Mahikeng CI and a Provincial tasked team for drugs conducted an operation.
One suspect was arrested for possession of drugs at Phelindaba Section Agisanang Location in Sannieshof. Seven parcels of transparent plastic bags full of Crystal meth and cash were seized.
Other suspects were detained with one transparent plastic bag full of Crystal meth and 13 mandrax tablets, as well as cash for dealing.
Another suspect was arrested for possession of drugs in Menoto section and detained with six parcels of Crystal meth and cash amounting to R1 760.
Two suspects were also arrested in a nearby house. One was arrested for possession of drugs and detained with 213 kg of dagga and four small bags of Crystal meth.
Two illegal immigrants were also arrested and detained.
