NOORDWESTER – BOIKHUTSO - As South Africa is experiencing many societal challenges, it is clear that boys are more vulnerable to be involved in unwanted behaviour.
These behaviours include abuse of drugs and other substances, gangsterism, bullying, peer pressure, GBV and suicide. Thusanang is committed to build up the moral values of boys by teaching them to abstain from bad behaviour and conduct.

As a result, Thusanang Trauma Centre in partnership with 4 Ways Shell Garage, commemorated Youth Day with young boys by means of a Cycling Competition on Saturday, 15 June.
The aim of the cycling competition was to identify talents from local boys between 8 - 16 years in two categories (8-11 and 12-16).
The boys enjoyed the race, from Biokhutso to the garage. There, each cyclist received a medal for participation and winners received trophies.
They were treated by Sasko with eats, whilst the Sasko mascot joined in. The boys had a ball. Thank you to all the sponsors, Taxi drivers, Traffic Department, Police and Thusanang staff.
“We believe that together we can make change and create a safe, free environment for our children,” declared Dr Christina Pretorius, Project Manager of Thusanang Trauma Centre.
