NOORDWESTER – DELAREYVILLE - Nine suspects aged between 28 and 55, are expected to appear before the Lehurutshe and Delareyville Magistrates’ Courts on Monday, 3 June, Tuesday, 4 June and Thursday, 6 June 2024, on separate charges of stock theft. 
The suspects’ court appearances stem from their arrests on Sunday, 26 May, Tuesday, 28 May, and Thursday 30 May 2024, after being found with suspected stolen livestock.

Isaac Maraise (36), Walter Masisi (40), Hans Wels (46), and Richard Peka (55) were apprehended on Sunday, 26 May 2024, in Delareyville after they were found in possession of suspected stolen livestock. According to information, the accused stole 14 calves worth R81 900, at a farm near Delareyville and called a certain man to sell the stolen livestock to him.  The police eventually arrested the accused, while in the process of selling the calves. They made an initial court appearance on Tuesday, 28 May 2024, and are expected to reappear on Tuesday, 4 June 2024, for bail application.
