NOORDWESTER - BIESIESVLEI – Creating a nurturing environment where every learner feels valued, safe and empowered to reach their potential, the Biesiesvlei South African Police Service in partnership with the Community Police Forum visited Zooihuis Primary School on Friday, 7 February.
In this initiative of going beyond the call of duty, the organisation was accompanied by the Community in Blue Patrollers and Youth Crime Prevention Desk.

About twenty underprivileged learners were identified and assisted with having their school books covered.
This act of compassion was influenced by the significant impact of learning outcomes, and thus, support and care in schools addresses the learners’ emotional, social and physical well-being.
Intervention of this kind, prevents issues such as learning difficulties, stress, bullying and mental health concerns, because often learners compare themselves to others.
The Acting School Principal Ms Ditlhokwe, expressed her gratitude towards the organisation and its forums for lending a helping hand, offering an act of kindness to the underprivileged learners.
