NOORDWESTER – MOLOPO - Vigilant members of Mahikeng Public Order Police (POP) arrested Tshokolo Kolobe (58) on Friday, 31 January, for possession of suspected stolen live stock.
SAPS members were on routine patrol duties along the N18 (Vryburg / Mahikeng) road when they noticed a white Toyota Hilux bakkie with a canopy near a filling station in Montshiwastad Village.

Officers ultimately stopped the vehicle for a search that led to the discovery of 18 goats. The driver, who was alone in the car, was apprehended after failing to give a proper account of the goats - worth R27 000. Kolobe was remanded in custody and will appear before the Molopo Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 10 February, for bail application.
Investigation into the matter continues.
