NOORDWESTER- LICHTENBURG – An unknown body of an elderly African male was found on 17 September 2024 on the premises of the old tar factory behind Hoërskool Lichtenburg.
The deceased may have been between 70 and 75 years of age, 1.78m tall and weighed 50kg.
The deceased was regularly seen in the area and he stayed on the premises for a long period of time and used to collect bottles and cans to sell. Inquiries in the area revealed that the deceased might have been from Mareetsane Village.

Fingerprints were obtained from the body and forwarded to the Criminal Record Centre in Pretoria and feedback was received that the fingerprints is linked to a person named Lethaba Kubue who was born in 1950.
