NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - As part of our Corporate Social Investment, the North West Provincial Office decided to provide Doornhoek Primary School in Lichtenburg with 79 pairs of shoes.
The Public Servants Association of South Africa (PSA) is a trade union for public sector workers in South Africa. We thank our ELRC Chairperson, Japhta Moati who helped us to identify this school and together with Ms Sarah Zazo (site steward) who accompanied us to the school on 24 January.

With this initiative the PSA wants to improve students’ willingness and ability to attend school regularly and to ensure that all students have the necessary tools to participate in their education.
Doornhoek is a Primary School outside Lichtenburg with 141 learners. The school is well established and the learners are disciplined, indeed a place where they can learn in a pleasant environment. Noticeable was the good relationship between learners and the staff.  Although the previous, now retired, principal IP (Itumeleng) Ndebele is not officially at school, he is still around helping and enjoy being at school. Thank you to PSA for making a difference at Doornhoek School.
