NOORDWESTER – COLIGNY – Saturday 18 November 2023 was a big day for Coligny Boxing Club.
Coach Tshepo Seponkane represented the North West Sport Awards. Even though he did not obtain the cup for Volunteer of the Year, he received a certificate: Recognition being in the Top 3 Volunteer in North West 2023.
Coligny Boxers also attended a tournament in Boikhutso, Lichtenburg, where they were represented by five boxers.  Vuyani Sebolao won his encounter while the other unfortunately lost theirs.

The club achieved a great deal this year and closed with two senior/elite boxers and one junior being in the North West team.
“I am honoured to be recognized by the province as it shows that our club is recognised in terms of hard work. It’s been really quite a year as we have been struggling with funding in terms of transportation to tournaments, food and refreshments for boxers, equipment and gear to wear at tournaments, but that didn’t discourage us, “ said Head Coach Tshepo Seponkane.
