Co-operative action ensures more than R2 million success

BRITS POS – BRITS - Collaborative efforts by Brits Trio Task Team, Operational Coordination Centre (OCC) and Crime Intelligence paid off when a hijacked truck, trailer and goods worth more than R2 million were recovered on Thursday evening, 23 January 2025. 
“Bojanala District Crime Intelligence, followed up on information received regarding activities of a group suspected of truck hijackings,” says Colonel Adéle Myburgh, SAPS North West spokesperson.

MOOINOOI - Local police Constable tragically dies in motor vehicle accident

BRITS POS – MOOINOOI – Constable Keagile Rampa (32) of SAPS Mooinooi, lost her life during a motor vehicle accident that occurred at about 02:30 on Saturday, 25 January, on the N4 Bakwena Highway near Majakaneng village, outside Mooinooi.
“According to information, two members driving in a state motor vehicle (Toyota Hilux), were on the way back to Mooinooi police station after attending to a complaint,” says Colonel Adéle Myburgh, SAPS North West spokesperson. “It is alleged that the vehicle overturned after a tyre burst.  

SONOP KRAGKRISIS - Dit word al hoe donkerder in Sonop

BRITS POS – BRITS – ‘n Sameloop van negatiewe omstandighede wat die afgelope tyd in Sonop plaasgevind het, het daartoe gelei dat dié gemeenskap nou wéér vir bykans 50 dae sonder elektrisiteit is.
Nádat die kragkrisis verlede Desember deur verskeie rolspelers soos onder andere die departement van publieke werke en Elsa Lourens, VF Plus-raadslid van Bojanala Platinum Distriksraad en ook raadslid van Madibeng plaaslike munisipaliteit opgelos is, was daar op 12 Desember 2024 weer eens geen elektrisiteit nie. Dit was as gevolg van ‘n kabelfout. Die kabel het vermoedelik gebrand, en Sonop en Khalanyoni was in die duister.
