‘Make Orkney great again’
Klerksdorp Record, Orkney - A newly-refurbished gold processing plant opened this week which could mean 4 000 jobs for the struggling community.
According to representatives of the China-African Precious Metals Company (CAPM), R200 million was spent on resuscitating the plant and it forms part of the company’s R2 billion investment at its Orkney operations.

Klerksdorp Record, Stilfontein - Plans are in motion to get the illegal miners to resurface in a way that is humane while still upholding the law.
These past weeks the country has been keeping a keen eye on the crisis unfolding near Khuma where operators of the government Operation Vala Umgodi managed to stop supply routes to the illegal miners underground.

Klerksdorp Record, Kanana - The Independent Police Directorate is investigating the death of a 34-year old Kanana man who was allegedly assaulted by police officers stationed at Kanana SAPS.
Falakhe Ntombela died in hospital. He was ta-ken into custody on Sunday morning November 10.
According to a friend who requested anonymity because he is afraid of the police, the police officers assaulted Ntombela for no reason.Read more: Fingers point to police officers after death of detainee
