  • Fugitive back in court

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - A Klerksdorp fugitive who has been on the run from the law since 2019, was hunted down in Mpumalanga.

Ironically Tebogo Mahlangu was attending court in Witbank on Friday April 11 on another case of robbery with aggravating circumstances when he was arrested for escaping from Klerksdorp.

At the time of his escape, Mahlangu was awaiting trial and incarcerated when he managed to get hold of a police officer’s firearm during a transfer from court. He and four accomplices involved in the 2015 robbery of diamond gravel near Wolmaransstad, escaped.
