Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Two well-known women in the motoring industry received awards at the Motoring Women of the Year Awards, held at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg over the weekend.

Three women received awards in the Women of Substance category and two hail from Klerksdorp. Priscilla Bhoola and Yolandi Ferrari received their awards on Friday October 25.

“She also shows great empathy and possesses the ability to connect with the emotions of others. As a DP, she is also skilled in generating and envisioning new ideas and opportunities. Known for her composure, she can maintain her calm even in stressful situations. Priscilla exudes enthusiasm and embodies a vibrant passion for life,” the organisers said in their praise for her.

Apart from her work at VW, she is the proprietor of two restaurants: Mozambik and Rosemary’s.

Yolandi Ferrari, owner and dealer principal of Auto World Klerksdorp, was also awarded in the Women of Substance category.

According to the organisers, they introduced this category specifically due to inspiring women like Yolandi and Priscilla who uplift other women in the South African automotive sector.

They describe Yolandi as an inspiring woman who approaches her giving with intellect, compassion, and action and she is the kind of individual who wishes to observe, experience, and comprehend the effects of her contributions.

“Her dealerships are dedicated to promoting advancements in education, bolstering community development, empowering nonprofit initiatives, and enhancing the prospects of youth in all the communities that surround her.”
