Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The glitzy Miss NW Exclusive 2025 pageant took place over the weekend, and the winner is a young beauty from Klerksdorp.
Phenyo Sebetlele (20) was crowned at the Oryx Boutique Hotel in the city on Saturday August 30, and says she still has to pinch herself because it feels like a dream.
She is a bubbling second-year Tourism student at the NWU in Potchefstroom and spoke to Klerksdorp Record on Tuesday September 2. She was born in Klerksdorp and completed high school at Curro Klerksdorp.
She thanked her mom for all the hard work she has done to help her get sponsorship for the event. “The crowning was something special. I really didn’t expect to win and somehow I still have to make peace with it. I intend to make use of this title to tell people about GBV and femicide,” she said.
She doesn’t hold any other title and wants to focus on Miss NW Exclusive, and getting her message across.
“My friends know that I’ve won and they are happy for me. My fellow students don’t know yet as my homecoming is still coming.”
