Lentswe, Jouberton - A gr11 learner from Matlosane Secondary School is aspiring to be the Face of SA Teenager 2025. Oletilwe Motswanyane (17) is a semi-finalist in this countrywide pageant, which is about grooming girls and building their confidence.

She describes herself as a passionate person who delivers when she puts her mind to it. She entered this competition to help young girls who are scared to come into the spotlight. She also wants to improve her surrounding areas and advocate for women empowerment. Vote for her on TikTok (Oletilwe Malunga), Facebook and IG (both Oletilwe Motswanyane).

Home Affairs in Jouberton

The mobile unit of Home Affairs will visit the Jouberton Community Hall on Wednesday June 11. Don’t miss this opportunity to get your personal documents sorted. They will do new applications of IDs and print out birth certificates for babies and elders.

Women on the move

Sarah and Malefa Makhalemele thanked the women who travelled to Viljoenskroon last month to support the recent Pitiki gathering. They said the Pitiki is growing and making an impact in the community. Phulane Mokhothu and Mampe were instrumental in bringing the women together in Viljoenskroon. Sarah said more and more women are realising the importance of the Pitiki movement. Bringing back dignity

Bringing Back Dignity of Apostolic Churches members (16349 Ext 16) will be attending the Religious Practitioner NQF level 4 course, a one-year certificate program. Archbishops, bishops, president and pastors from other churches are also welcome to join. The course will commence on June 14, and will be facilitated by Dr MJ Mapogoshe. Men talking about their issues

Lentswe, Jouberton - The Sons of Allen Men’s Ministry of the AME Church, SP Maarohanye chapel in Jouberton, hosted their first Men’s Parliament that was held at Matlosana Country Lodge. The event was organised with the aim to give men a platform and space to engage on men’s issues. Topics that were covered were mental health, GBV and money matter.
