Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Didintle Mongale (23) was born and raised at Tlakgameng Village. She is a Miss North West Exclusive semi-finalist.
Her journey with Miss North West Exclusive has helped her with confidence.
“I have self-developed so much along the journey. The competition has played a good role in my life, I started being confident in myself when I lacked confidence and started believing in myself when I had no one to believe in me,” she said.
Foreigners behind bars
Lentswe, Orkney - Two Lesotho nationals were caught in Kanana and appeared in the local magistrate’s court for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Tshotleko Ranko (24) and Thabo Mothai (22) were remanded in custody on Monday January 8.“The accused appeared in court following their arrest by members of Stilfontein Public Order Police (POP) on January 6.
Heavy rain flood local roads
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - It’s been a wet New Year thus far.
This week’s heavy downpours in the Kosh Area have flooded roads and opened up potholes making driving in these circumstances very difficult. On Wednesday January 10, the Leemhuis Street extension at Ysterspruit was flooded due to heavy downpours from the previous day.

Lentswe, Joubeton - Thapelo Elias Motsage went missing on December 20 and he hasn’t been seen since.
According to his family, he was at his girlfriend’s house when he left to visit his mother and never arrived.
He is 1.6 m tall, 58 years old and was wearing a yellow T-shirt Bafana Bafana, badge trousers, black Puma tekkies and a grey cap.
He went missing at 14975, Ext 13. He is described as soft-spoken.

More than 3 000 arrested in NW
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - It was an action-packed festive season for the police with more than 3 000 people arrested within the last weeks of 2023 and first week of 2024 in the province. Some 1 250 suspects were arrested between December 21 and 27, another 1 122 between December 26 and 31 and yet another 979 between January 1 and 7.
