Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The DA councillor of Ward 39, Wolfgang Wallhorn, has been promoted to the provincial government in Mahikeng.
This means Ward 39 needs a new councillor. The by-election to elect a new councillor will take place on September 11. This coming weekend, July 28 and 29, is the registration weekend to make sure you will be able to vote on September 11.
The registrations will be held at Laerskool Goudkop and NG Kerk Goudkop between 08:00 and 17:00. You must be a SA citizen to register. Bring your green bar-coded ID book, smartcard ID or temporary identity certificate.
Voters need to register if they have recently moved to Flamwood, Adamyview or Irene Park, are first time voters, need to apply for special votes, need to apply for a home vote and need to confirm or check their current registrations.
