The Stilfontein Netball Club, a community netball team, competed in the recent Dr KK Netball trials held at the NWU, and secured third place. This was a historic moment for the players, as many of them have trained tirelessly despite limited resources. Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Netball legend Dumisani Chauke teamed up with Pep’s mini Netball programme to give one lucky school the opportunity to win a new netball court worth R200 000. Chauke, a former Proteas Assistant Coach and passionate youth mentor for the Netball Community, is thrilled. The Pep mini Netball programme is something close to Dumisani’s heart as it has now grown to 40 festivals across all 9 provinces in South Africa. 

Lentswe, Jouberton - This was a busy weekend for chess. Dr KK players went to Bojanala and conquered. It was the maiden tournament of the Nadjorf Movement which was played from June 14 to 16. The tournament was played at Rustenburg Kgaswane Country Lodge, and players came from all over South Africa and Botswana.

Deheus won - for the second time. Dehues won the Clicks Charity Cup earlier this season and they didn’t stop there. They continued winning only losing one game this season. The Matlosana Industrial Soccer League had 11 teams this season: Deheus, Tau Lekoa, SAPS, Aurum, Real PC Pelser, Harmony, Midvaal, Educators, Labour Department, Pepsico and Rec Club.
