Sign language interpreters awarded
NOORDWESTER – POTCHEFSTROOM - The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in North West, Major General Patrick Asaneng, handed certificates over to 20 members who were trained as sign language interpreters. This recently took place in Potchefstroom.
Major General Asaneng motivated the recipients and said Human Resource Development is a mutual symbiotic relationship between the employer and employee, from which both parties derive bennefits.
Illegal immigrant appears in court for stock theft
NOORDWESTER – SWARTRUGGENS - Tshepang Motseretsere Sepinara (22), an illegal immigrant from Lesotho, appeared before the Swartruggens Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 May, for possession of suspected stolen cattle. He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Wednesday, 21 May.
Sepinara’s court appearance folllows his arrest on Wednesday afternoon, 30 April, in Swartruggens. This came after information received led the police to the Derdepoort T-junction, where members of Madikwe and Phokeng Stock Theft and Endangered Species (STES) Units, pounced on Sepinara during a controlled buy-and-bust operation.

NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Daar is weinig, indien enige, funksionaliteit by die Munisipaliteit te bespeur. Sondagoggend, 4 Mei omstreeks 05:00 het die voortslepende faksiegevegte weer uitgebars tussen sekuriteitsmaatskappye by die munisipale gebou en ‘n skietery tot gevolg gehad.
Klaarblyklik het die onlangse wettig aangestelde munisipale sekuriteitsmaatskappy, Eagle Springbok Security en Lifeways Security, van die onwettige munisipale bestuurder, Olaotswe Bojosinyane gebots.
Een groep Suid-Afrikaners wat nie geld onder die tweepotstelsel kan onttrek nie
NOORDWESTER -LICHTENBURG - Pensioenfondsbeoordelaar Muvhango Lukhaimane het verduidelik dat ‘n tweepot-voordeelstelsel vrygestel is.
Dit behels dat enige polis rakende ‘n aftree-annuïteitsplan wat voor 1 September 2024 aangegaan is, vrygestel is van die tweekomponent-voordeelstelsel.
Die tweepot-aftreestelsel is op 1 September 2024 geïmplementeer en verdeel aftreefondsbydraes in ‘n “Spaarkomponent” en ‘n “Aftreekomponent”.
