STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Hoërskool Vryburg is besonder trots op twee van hul uitmuntende atlete, Ané Putter en Keelan Tietus, wat die skool met trots verteenwoordig het tydens die Wildeklawer Grey Oranje Atletiekbyeenkoms wat die naweek van 18 Oktober in Bloemfontein by die Mangaung Atletiekstadion plaasgevind het. 
Ané het uitstekend presteer deur derde plek in gewigstoot en vierde plek in hamergooi te behaal, terwyl Keelan die goud gewen het in die 400 m hekkies en silwer in die 400 m.

STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Presies drie dekades nadat “Hie’ kommie Bokke!” in 1995 tydens die Springbokke se historiese Rugbywêreldbeker-oorwinning oor die All Blacks op die destydse Ellispark in elke huis en motor opgeklink het, het die Federasie van Afrikaanse Kultuurvereniginge (FAK) ’n eretoekenning aan Leon Schuster oorhandig vir sy lewensbydrae tot Afrikaanse musiek, rolprente en radiowerk.

Pedestrian struck by Municipal Truck in Vryburg parking lot
STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: A local woman, Marcia Dames was left shaken after being struck by a Naledi Municipal refuse truck in the parking area near KFC in Market Street, Vryburg, on Wednesday, 8 October, at around 15:30. 
According to Marcia, she was walking towards her vehicle when three municipal workers nearby were preparing refuse for collection. Moments later, the municipal truck drove directly towards her. Before she could move out of the way, the truck hit her, causing her to lose balance and fall. “The workers immediately came to help me up and asked if I was hurt,” Dames said.
