Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The closing date for the Miss Klerksdorp pageant is drawing near and prospective contestants should get their entries in. The Miss Klerksdorp pageant, which also has a Miss Teen and Mrs title, is the ideal platform for young women to become involved in their community on a charitable level and be seen as someone that makes a difference. It is beauty with a purpose, explains pageant owner Zee Dyson.
The pageant is the longest running pageant in Klerksdorp and has delivered title holders who are remembered for the good they have done in the community and the difference they made. “Our title holders are role models and their kindness is always appreciated by the community.’’
In the Miss Teen category, contestants between the ages of 14-17 years old may enter, and in the Miss category entries are open for young ladies between the age of 18-27 years old. Married ladies older than 18 can enter in the Mrs category. This category is also open for single ladies older than 27 and divorcees.
Dyson says contestants don’t need to worry about experience in modelling as a workshop after closing of entries, will prepare them in a variety of fields for the upcoming pageant.
