Klerksdorp Midweek, Hartbeesfontein - The business community of Hartbeesfontein is working with the Matlosana Municipality to keep the Tigane and Hartbeesfontein areas clean and beautiful. Last week, the municipality thanked Johan le Roux and Freda de Klerk for their initiative and effort to uplift the community. “They work with municipal park officials led by the parks supervisor, Daniel Maane to keep the town and township tidy. They assist with their equipment and machinery for town clean-up efforts and have have installed rubbish bins throughout the town to minimize littering,” said Ntswaki Makgetha, municipal spokesperson.

The business forum also helped cleaning cemeteries and preserved the beauty of Hartbeesfontein’s fountain, a popular historical gathering spot for the community. This fountain is known for its underground natural water and caves, which local community members use for spiritual prayers and blessings.

“As a result of these initiatives, the community can enjoy a clean and serene environment. The project fosters opportunities for residents to come together and appreciate the beauty of their area,” Makgetha said.

She added that the City of Matlosana applauds the partnership between local business people and parks officials in their efforts to keep Tigane and Hartbeesfontein clean and beautiful. They also encourage other business owners in other towns to replicate this initiative and collaborate with the municipality to help maintain cleanliness throughout Matlosana.
