Ashton John’s Private School officially welcomed spring by planting a Combretum Erythrophyllum (Vaderlandswilg/ Bush Willow) on Monday September 1. In collaboration with Tigane Nursery and Cool Desk, this tree marks growth, renewal, and an ongoing commitment to a greener tomorrow. The Bush Willow is a proudly South African tree that provides shade, attracts birds, and stands as a symbol of strength and resilience. Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The Orkney and Klerksdorp Animal Shelter’s fundraiser, dog show and family fun day will be held this weekend. All animal lovers are invited to this great event, hosted by K9 Academy at Curro, 22 Elm Street on Saturday September 6. They promise a fun-filled day for the whole family and their furry friends. The dog show categories are nicest rescue, smallest adult dog, largest friendly dog, best dressed, dog & owner look-a-like, ugliest adorable mutt, best dog trick, prettiest dog (small, medium, large) and 2025 prettiest dog of the year.

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Sassa released the payment dates for its grants for September. The grants for senior citizens will be paid on Tuesday September 2. Disability grants will be paid on Wednesday September 3, and children’s grants will be paid on September 4.
