Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Ryu Kyu GoJu Karate displayed excellent talent at the first ever Martial Arts SA national championship 2024. The club entered only two students, but returned with eight medals.
Also at the event, Sensei Nathen Olivier took part in the Masa National Referee Course & Cutmen Course (first aid for contact sport).

This event was at the highest standard with multi-codes joined: from jiu-jitsu, taekwondo and kickboxing. 

This event will be held annually.

Sensei Nathen Olivier won gold (Traditional Kata), gold (Traditional Weapon Kata), bronze (Traditional Kumete) and bronze (Traditional Continues Free Sparing). 

Marko Blignaut won gold (Traditional Kata), gold (Traditional Weapon Kata), silver (Traditional Kumete) and silver (Traditional Continues Free Sparing).
