BRITS POS – MOOINOOI - The “Vala Umgodi” operation continues to fight illicit mining. This became evident when two suspects were arrested on Friday evening, 24 May.
Information received led a team from Johannesburg Tactical Response Team (TRT) to Mooinooi, where it was alleged that explosives are being sold on the R556 Road, close to Segwaelane Village.

BRITS POS – BRITS – Daar kan nie genoeg klem op die belangrikheid van padveiligheid vir kinders en voetgangers gelê word nie, dit nadat ‘n 6-jarige kind Maandag, 20 Mei deur ‘n vragmotor op die R511 net buite Brits raakgery is.Hartbeespoort Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) se personeel was op die toneel en volgens inligting het ‘n bus kinders afgelaai en van die kinders het na bewering oor die pad, na die ander kant gehardloop toe die tragiese ongeluk gebeur het. Die paramedici het die kind op die toneel doodverklaar, die ondersoek duur voort.

BRITS POS – BRITS - The ANC’s jobs bloodbath continues to rob more than a million North West residents from the dignity that comes with a job.
Statistics SA released its Quarterly Labour Force survey recently, which saw another 13 000 North West residents join the unemployment lines, bringing the real unemployment rate to 53.6%, the highest provincial unemployment rate in the country.
