BRITS POS – BRITS Remote jamming is one of the most prolific methods for vehicle theft in South Africa, and it’s becoming increasingly prevalent as more and more cars rely on signals instead of physical keys.
Durban Metro Police recently tracked down a sophisticated syndicate hiding out in the township of Umlazi.Upon apprehending the suspects and searching the premises, it found several suspicious items frequently used in instances of car theft, including an unlicensed firearm with its serial number filed off, live rounds of ammunition, and a remote signal jammer.
Warning about solar power systems in South Africa

The Consumer Goods and Services Ombud recently warned that there has been a rise in complaints about defective solar systems, battery, and generator installations.
OPERATION SHANELA - 986 suspects apprehended
BRITS POS – BRITS - During the Weekly High Density Shanela Operations, inclusive of Safer Easter Paseka Operations, police in the North West apprehended a total of 986 suspects for a variety of crimes.
To mention a few - 124 were arrested for possession of drugs, 22 for illegal dealing in liquor, 72 for assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, 45 for common assault, 15 for burglary and 48 for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

BAPONG HEALTH CENTRE - Heinous attack on personnel
BRITS POS – BAPONG – A female security guard (45) was attacked around 04:00 on Sunday morning by a group of individuals demanding priority treatment for a patient that was stabbed.
When requested to wait to be attended to, the group of allegedly five, reacted violently and when the security guard tried to intervene, she was allegedly assaulted.
