BRITS POS – GA-RANKUWA - The High Court of South Africa, North West Division, sitting at the Ga-Rankuwa Regional Court, postponed the murder case against Arthur Khoza (19), Mahlatsi Nkuna (21), and Thato Mosetla (22), to Thursday, 7 March 2024 for judgment.
The three are facing charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances, kidnapping, murder, malicious damage to property and defeating the ends of justice.
SAPS Brits captain awarded a medal for royal service
BRITS POS – POTCHEFSTROOM -The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Sello Kwena awarded medals for loyal service to numerous police officers on Friday, 1 March 2024 at the Provincial Head Office in Potchefstroom. Amongst the medal recipients, eight members received their 40-year loyal service medals and others for respectively 30- and 20-year loyal service medals.
Lt Gen Kwena said it is imperative that police management recognise good work and boost the morale of members, taking into consideration the difficult situation under which police officials work.
Mother and son held at gunpoint and assaulted at their eatery

Three SAPS detectives arrested for alleged corruption
BRITS POS – HEBRON - The Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation members arrested three police detectives aged 39, 44 and 48 on Monday, 26 February 2024, for alleged corruption at a mall in Hebron, 30km northeast of Brits.
Reports indicate that the trio solicited gratification from the complainant in order not to arrest him.
They allegedly demanded R6000 and the complainant was able to pay them R2000.
