Klerksdorp Record, Jouberton - Tshepong Hospital’s main gate will be closed until August 3.
According to Nomvula Mokgoja, spokesperson, this is due to the upgrading of the entrance and exit of the hospital.
Clients and community members are requested to make use of the temporary gate that will be open next to NM Pretorius Gateway Clinic. “This closure is necessary to ensure proper rehabilitation and improvement of hospital infrastructure.
“It is vital for enhancing road safety to staff and community at large. Hospital management requests patience and cooperation during this period and will provide notification as soon as the usual gate is reopened and ready for use.”

Midvaal takes Matlosana to court
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Matlosana Municipality’s debt to Midvaal Water Co, the only supplier of potable water to residents of the Kosh Area, is far exceeding R1 billion.
Presently Midvaal Water Co is asking the North West High Court to grant an order to limit the bulk water supply to the city. That will mean that households will only get six kilolitres per month at a minimum flow of 10 litres per minute.

Six in court for stealing diesel
Klerksdorp Record, Stilfontein - The illicit mining task team continue to pounce on criminals.
Last week the team followed up on information and ultimately caught six men red-handed stealing diesel at a dwelling near Stilfontein on Thursday morning June 27. They were arrested and charged with theft.
Col Adéle Myburgh, police spokesperson, the accused were allegedly caught stealing diesel from two construction vehicles as well as a light delivery vehicle on the premises. During the arrest, the police seized 20 drums, containing a total of 500 litres of diesel.
Lindelwa Nkwanyane (31), Simiso Ngcomphalala (29), John Rasereka (64), Amos Novela (57), Piet Leeu (34) and Olebogeng Sejako (41) appeared in the Stilfontein Magistrates’ Court on Friday June 28, on a charge of theft. They were remanded in custody until their second court appearance on Friday July 5.
The Police Provincial Commissioner, Lt-Genl Sello Kwena, lauded the team for their tireless efforts in the fight against illicit economic activities.
