Klerksdorp Record, Kanana - Days after the mass shooting in the Two for Joy Tavern in Ext 13, puddles of dry blood on the tavern floor tell the story of a horrific episode that will haunt this township for months to come.
Eight people were killed and a dozen more injured when gunmen entered the tavern just before midnight on Friday July 26. They were looking for Basotho and then opened fire on the revellers bringing the party at Two for Joy to a bloody end.
Vyf vas vir moord op kluisenaar

Vehicles seized in theft, hijacking cases
Klerksdorp Record, Potchefstroom - A Klerksdorp man was arrested in Collerville last week for possession of a suspected stolen Chevrolet Aveo.
Hugo Stevenson (49) appeared in court after his arrest on July 23. According to Lt Col Amanda Funani, police spokesperson, the vehicle was reported stolen in June last year. “Detectives from different vehicle crime investigation units conducted an operation last week which led to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery of five vehicles."
Motorfietsryer onder verdowing na ongeluk

Weapons, dagga seized
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - An intelligence driven operation led police members to a house in Kanana last week, where two hunting rifles, a pistol and ammunition were seized.
According to Capt Stephen Thakeng, police spokesperson, two suspects (aged 24 and 42) were arrested for possession of illegal firearms and ammunition on July 24.
