Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - A 15 year-old learner of Milner High School was the only fatality in a car crash on the N12 on Sunday night December 1.
Gandemo Mahoko (15) died on the scene. Milner High School announced her passing on their Facebook page.
According to her uncle, Kagisho, she and three of her friends were on the way from Potchefstroom to Klerksdorp when one of the car’s tyres burst. The accident occurred at about 19:55. Her friends were not injured.
She has just completed Gr 9 and the family were expecting great things from the young Gandemo. She also leaves behind two brothers.
Her funeral will take place on Saturday December 7. The service will be held at Jouberton Hall at 07:00.

Gas leak almost kills parents in their sleep
Klerksdorp Record, Jouberton - The police investigated a case of attempted murder after parents suspected their son was trying to kill them.
The incident was reported on November 24 after the parents discovered that a gas bottle was left open inside the home while they were sleeping. The gas bottle was stored in the garage.
Zama-zamas resurfacing slowly, but surely

The North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management disclosed this week that 55 zama-zamas have resurfaced since last week Monday.
