Lentswe, Kanana - The Phodiso Worship Centre family convened at Mokati Hall last weekend to pay their last respects to one of their own, Bishop OP Makoro, who passed away on April 29. The funeral was held on Saturday May 10 and the hall was packed with family, friends and loved ones, who wished to see Bishop Makoro off. Some of the attendees were the Executive Mayor, Cllr Fikile Mahlophe, along with local councillors, Rhyder Mokhele, Molefi Sello, Thabo Seabeng, Queen Mahumapelo and the Kanana Council of Churches (KCC) fraternal.

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The weekly Joint Law Enforcement operations conducted under Operation Shanela, resulted in the arrest of suspects and the seizure of illegal contraband, including three illegal firearms, a variety of drugs, liquor and dangerous weapons. In the space of a week, from April 28 to May 4, a total of 919 suspects were arrested for a variety of crimes.
