Lentswe, Klerksdorp - There is still no arrests after robbers attacked a Jouberton church on Thursday March 28.
Jouberton SAPS launched a manhunt after five armed rob-
bers stormed a church at Y100 Section Jouberton and robbed the congregants of cell phones and cash.
According to Lt Col Amanda Funanil, a church member was outside and on the phone when men wearing balaclava threatened him with firearms and instructed him to get inside the church. “The robbers then ordered the congregants to lie down, searched them and robbed them of cash, handbags and cell phones before fleeing from the scene on foot.’’

Lentswe, Mahikeng - The Office of the ANC Chief Whip in the North West Provincial Legislature is mourning the death of one of its caucus staff members in a car accident over Easter weekend. Sello Shimmy Moleko (55) commonly known as Comrade Shakes served as Constituency Officer. He died in a head-on collision involving his VW Amarok bakkie and a VW Polo sedan that occurred on the R503 Lichtenburg-Mahikeng Road around 19:30 on Sunday evening March 31.
