Lentswe, Klerksdorp - A new Cathlab was installed at Tshepong Hospital and is currently in its training phase. Dr Binu Luke, technical advisor to the Deputy Director General, told Lentswe that the first procedure was done on Tuesday March 26 when an emergency medical procedure needed to be done on a patient.

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Unathi Golimpi (31) appeared in the Klerksdorp Magistrates’ Court on charges of money laundering. According to W/O Amogelang Malwetse, spokesperson for the Hawks in North West, he was arrested on Friday March 22 during a sting operation conducted by the Klerksdorp-based Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team at Soshanguve. It is alleged that in April 2016, Tshepo Solomon Makatu (32) who was an employee for a cellphone company at Jubilee Mall, Hammanskraal at the time, defrauded the complainant by assisting unknown people to do a sim swop on the complainant’s cellphone that was used for internet banking without knowledge nor consent from the complainant.

Kakatlela Primary School is celebrating library week. The staff and learners celebrated this week by reading different books. The annual celebration of library week forms part of a national drive to promote information services and resources as well as reading and the benefits of literacy. The week started on March 18 and will last till March 24.

 

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Matlosana Municipality has started to rid the CBD from illegal signs. The MMC for Local Economic Development, Cllr Moagi Kodisang, supported by the communication and marketing unit, embarked on a campaign to eradicate illegal signs in the Klerksdorp CBD. They took to the streets on Tuesday March 19. According to Ntswaki Makgetha: AD Communication and Marketing, the municipality is committed to curbing illegal advertising in Matlosana.
