Lentswe, Klerksdorp - You can join the Nelson Mandela Day Walk and Run from anywhere in the world. It will take place in Johannesburg on Saturday July 20, but it is open to virtual participation, so you can walk or run alongside participants from anywhere in the world.
Silverware for karate club
The Shinkyokushinkai Annual National Karate Tournament was held at the Saul Tsotetsi Community Centre in Sebokeng Zone 14 on Saturday July 6. The Matlosana team was in attendance, registering 25 karatekas and 13 of them brought silverware back home. Salmina Motshana, Botlhokwa Motswenyane, Amahle Boqashi and Gift Ngake won their categories after brilliant and courageous efforts. The team will now prepare for the Gauteng Championships to be held next month. They train under Sensei Thomas Mayekani.

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Klerksdorp wrestling club earned several medals at the South African under 20 and Senior Championships held in Brakpan over the weekend of June 28-29.
Unity in sports
Lentswe, Jouberton - The highly anticipated football tournament organized by the “Sports Unity Association” (SUA) came to a close recently, after a day of intense competition at the local stadium. The event, which saw five teams vying for the top spot, was a resounding success, with fans packing the stands to cheer on their favourite teams.
Friendly soccer match this weekend
Lentswe, Jouberton - The GVF Sporting Monyetla Programme is happy to report that a scouting friendly soccer match will take place on Sunday June 30. TS Galaxy Football Club will send two teams comprising u/17 and u/19 players. They will play against local players selected from finalists of Kanana Rybakina, Golden Palace u/19’s; finalists of Golden Palace and Sun City Arsenal u/17’s.
